![]() Liver Transplantation for Neuroendocrine Tumours Dr. Tahir Shah (Birmingham, UK)
Dr. Shah is a Consultant Liver Transplant Physician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, and Lead Clinician for the Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) and Hepatocellular Cancer (HCC) Services. He established the Midlands’ specialist NET service, leading to its recognition as an ENETS Centre of Excellence. Dr. Shah has pioneered several service development initiatives, including the national liver transplantation programme for unresectable NET liver metastases, a comprehensive service for carcinoid heart disease, and the standardisation of early management pathways for Neuroendocrine Tumours, including lung NETs. His work has significantly advanced multidisciplinary care and national collaboration in complex hepatobiliary oncology. ![]() Liver Transplantation for Hepatocellular Adenomas
Dr. Tara Ghaziani (Stanford, USA) Dr. Tara Ghaziani is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Stanford, specializing in hepatology and transplant hepatology. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology, she brings expertise in liver cancer and transplant outcomes research. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on hepatocellular carcinoma, liver transplantation, and hepatic function assessment.
The Moderators Dr. Sudha Kodali (Methodist, USA)
Dr. Sudha Kodali is a Transplant Hepatologist at Houston Methodist Hospital and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Houston Methodist Academic Institute. She serves as Medical Director of the Liver Tumor Program at the Sherrie and Alan Conover Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation. Dr. Kodali specializes in liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and complex liver diseases, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach with oncology, surgery, and pathology teams. She also directs the GI module at the Texas A&M EnMed Program and chairs the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at the Methodist Transplant Center, promoting excellence in patient care, research, and education.
![]() Mr. Abdul Rahman Hakeem (King’s, UK)
Mr. Abdul Rahman Hakeem is a Consultant Adult and Paediatric Liver Transplant Surgeon and the Education Lead for Liver Transplant Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London. He also holds an honorary academic role as an Adjunct and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. He currently serves as Chair of the UK Liver Transplant Collaborative and Vice-Chair of the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) Vanguard Committee. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, with an H-index of 25, and has been involved in several NIHR and nationally funded research projects. He completed a PhD at the University of Leeds focused on human liver bioengineering and has contributed to multiple ILTS consensus conferences and the development of national LDLT and DDLT guidelines. Mr. Hakeem has received several awards, including the NHSBT/BTS Excellence in Education Award (2025) and Young Investigator Awards from ILTS (2022), LTSICON (2019), and ESOT (2017).
