Transplant Surgery Survey

The ILTS Education and Scholarship Committee is working to define global requirements for training liver transplant surgeons. To inform this effort, our committee has developed a comprehensive survey examining training pathways, duration of education, expectations for post-training experience, and certifications required to practice as an independent transplant surgeon.

The survey is intended for attending/consultant liver transplant surgeons who have completed training and currently practice independently. We seek respondents’ perspectives on their own training and on the standards and requirements in the country where they currently practice. These data will provide a cross-sectional view of contemporary training models worldwide and may support future efforts toward standardizing liver transplant training, with the ultimate goal of improving care delivery and outcomes for our patients.
