ILTS 2026 SOCIETY AWARDS

The International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) is pleased to invite all members to submit nominations or self‑nominations for the 2026 ILTS Society Awards.

 

 

 


These awards recognize excellence across scientific, clinical, educational, and equity‑focused contributions in liver transplantation. Nominating a colleague—or yourself—is an important way to spotlight innovation, leadership, and commitment within our global community.

 

 

 

 


All ILTS members are encouraged to participate.


 

BASIC SCIENCE AWARDS

  • Basic Science Investigator Award (Mid-Career)
  • Basic Science Established Investigator Award (Senior Career)

These awards honour ILTS members who have made outstanding academic contributions in basic and translational science related to liver transplantation. Nominees should demonstrate impactful research, scientific leadership, and sustained contributions to advancing fundamental understanding in the field. 

 


 

CLINICAL SCIENCE AWARDS

  • Clinical Science Investigator Award (Mid-Career)
  • Paolo Muiesan Clinical Science Established Investigator Award (Senior Career)

These awards recognize exceptional achievement in clinical research, including innovations in patient care, surgical techniques, outcomes science, or evidence‑based practice improvements. Nominees help shape the future of clinical liver transplantation worldwide.

 


 

ADVANCING EQUITY IN LIVER TRANSPLANTATION AWARD  

This award celebrates ILTS members whose work has significantly increased equity, reduced discrimination, and strengthened EDI‑focused mentorship within liver transplantation. Ideal nominees demonstrate leadership that promotes fair access and inclusive representation across the field. 

 


 

REAL ADVANCING EQUITY IN LIVER TRANSPLANTATION AWARD  

This award recognizes outstanding contributions to global transplant education, especially through ILTS’ REAL (Regional Expansion of Advanced Learning) Program. Nominees have expanded advanced learning opportunities, strengthened regional capacity, and supported international educational excellence.
