CALL FOR MEMBER PARTICIPATION:

Submit Your Diagnostically Challenging Case for an Upcoming ILTS Pathology Webinar

The International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) invites members to contribute to an upcoming multidisciplinary, education-focused webinar by submitting diagnostically challenging liver transplant case studies. This interactive session will bring together global expertise to analyze real-life clinical scenarios and highlight the value of collaborative problem‑solving in transplant medicine.

ABOUT THE WEBINAR

This webinar is designed to mirror a classic clinico‑pathological case discussion, similar to what many transplant centers conduct in their hospital settings. Pre‑selected cases will be reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel—bringing together pathology, hepatology, surgery, radiology, and other relevant specialties.

Goals of the Session:

  1. Deliver high-impact global education: Provide ILTS members and the wider international liver transplant community with access to real‑world, diagnostically challenging cases that illustrate the complexities of transplant medicine.

  2. Highlight the power of multidisciplinary collaboration: Showcase how ILTS’ pathology and clinical experts work together to solve difficult diagnostic problems—reinforcing the essential role of cross‑disciplinary teamwork in optimizing patient care.

How You Can Contribute:

ILTS welcomes submissions from members across all specialties involved in the care of liver transplant recipients. If you have a particularly instructive, unusual, or diagnostically complex case, we encourage you to share it for consideration.

Submitted cases should:

  • Involve significant diagnostic uncertainty or multiple possible interpretations
  • Offer clear educational value for a broad transplant audience
  • Benefit from input across multiple specialties, especially pathology and clinical practice
  • Be de‑identified according to standard privacy requirements
