Basic and Translational Research

This committee supports the presentation of basic and translational research at the Annual Congress, organizes workshops on relevant topics, and is building a network of expert centers dedicated to the basic study of liver transplantation.

Key aims of the Basic and Translational Research Committee:

• To represent and recruit ILTS members engaged in basic and translational research,

• To encourage their participation in the ILTS Annual Congress and other educational programs, promoting awareness of advances in Basic Science to all ILTS members,

• To promote communication and fellowship between basic scientists and clinicians in all disciplines,

• To foster collaborative links with relevant ILTS Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and with scientists in other relevant specialist societies, including the development of a network of expert centers dedicated to translational research in liver transplantation.
